Put your mind to it and amazing things will happen. Some days will be better than others but your mental focus and attitude will have profound effects on your performance. What do you think as you approach the bar to attempt a PR? What is going through your head as the clock clicks 3-2-1 go? Typical contitioning workouts are done for time. Although you may be focused on finishing fast, try and pick a smaller performance goal to work on. Try getting sharper on a technique that you stuggle with. Try a pace or rep scheme. Focus on perfect mechanics. The point is this. Too much attention to the clock will likely make you suffer other performance measures….mainly ROM and technique. The more you stray, the less meaning the clock has. It's a tool. Nothing more. Use it properly.
