We utilize many exercises that end in the overhead position. What does "overhead" mean exactly? The load is most stable over our base. This is the mid-foot area when you stand at attention. We want the load to end here and take the most direct (straight) line to get there. For example, with the press we want to move the head to clear the bar path. In the Snatch, we want to keep the bar as close to our body as possible. End overhead movements with full extention, head in a neutral position, the load placed over our base, and a solid mid-line.
