Ricki

Meet Ricki. Ricki Tischler has been a member here now for a long time. Many of you may not have had a chance to workout with her. Ricki is a great athlete and has come a long way! Feel free to poke fun at her gloves! Keep up the good work Ricki!

There is no question the 2 most technical aspects of CrossFit are Olympic Lifting and Gymnastics. Would you like to spend more time working on these skills? One or the other? Both?

Tuesday Strength/Skill Work: Warm-up/Dynamic warm up working on jumping skills and lateral movements. Then complete the WOD. Spend remaining time working on skill of choice. Finish with at least 10 minutes of stretching.

would definitely like more exposure to olympic lifting. Can you add some weekday olifting classes or put some of the lifts into the weekly class strength skill rotation? Ricki – looking awesome!

I agree with Stephanie–it would be helpful to maybe have cleans/C&J as a strength move in the weekly classes every once in a while…so that folks who can't come to the Saturday O-Lifting still get some exposure to the lifts. And personally, I love the gymnastic stuff because it seems to work a TON of your upper body muscles rather than focusing on just your arms or chest. It's very difficult but insanely rewarding the first time you get a handstand or a handstand pushup. I think it would be cool to pull down the mat once or twice a month and work more on stuff like that–breaks up the monotony of the "deadlift, backsquat, overhead press" rotation.

I vote for more O-lifting! Once everyone gets more comfortable, we can start throwing the movements into some of the WODS. I am not much of a gymnast, but do see the value, so it wouldn't hurt to do those every once in a while.

Furnas and Trey were telling me that they wanna see more burpees, heavy thrusters, and 5k runs. Shaw just requested more pain.

I'm up for the 5k runs! Furnas told me that Jake misquoted him on the heavy thrusters…what he said was bear crawls…more bear crawls!

Brian was telling me we need a week focused on Knees-to-Elbows, Toes-to-Bar, and Weighted Sit-ups…all abs, all core. He's crazy that way.
