"Aside from gaining strength and endurance, CF has given me the confidence I so desperately needed (I still struggle with this). Without your guidance, patience and support over the past two years, I would've never done this. In fact, on the flight home I asked my sister what her favorite part of the trip was. She then asked me the same question. My response was aside from being with family, I was proud of myself for going to Desert CF. If someone would've told me that I would seek out a gym while on vacation, I would've told them they were crazy! It's great when you surprise yourself for the better. It was great fun to participate in a class at another affliate while on vacation. I hope others do the same if they have the opportunity."
I think any of use would be a bit nervous entering an unfamiliar CrossFit. After all, you are going into the unknown. Part of what makes CrossFit so great is the warm welcome you will get anywhere you go. We are always tickled to have out of town CrossFitters and it's comforting knowing you'll get the same welcome anywhere you go. Congrats to Melissa for getting her WOD in while on vacation at Desert CrossFit.
Dan Maners was nice enough to send me a pic of his visit to Thailand. He is pictured here facing the "Sanctuary of Truth." I'm sure he is thinking "scale it, for time."
