Athlete of the Month

Dan furnas

Dan Furnas is our next Athlete of the Month! We'll be getting some pics up on the page ASAP. Dan has been working hard since day one. He never quits and shows awesome determination. Dan is competing in our Next Level Challenge and the weight is coming off! As a traveling businessman, he faces the most difficult situations in keeping a sound diet. He has been working extra hard and it shows. Congrats Dan!

Tuesday Strength/Skill Work: "Black Box"  This should be fun!

Congratulations to the big man! As his roommate, I have an unusual viewpoint for his progress, and I must say, he is a man on a friggin' mission. Particularly over these last 3-4 weeks, he is living/breathing/sleeping CrossFit and sound nutrition. Last night I found myself having a conversation with him regarding the relative levels of Glycemic Load between apples and green beans (green beans actually HIGHER than an apple–who knew?) This made me think two things: 1. We need more exciting lives, and 2. Dan is more focused and determined than I've ever seen him. So congratulations on Athlete of the Month, and keep it up!

Congratulations Dan!! The results are showing and I can't wait to see what happens after 10 weeks. I love workingout with you and seeing your amazing determination, it is inspiring!!! Keep at it.

Well-deserved recognition, Dan! You look great. Keep up the good fight. By the way, I'm sure all those times I wore lipstick to class made the difference with your bear crawl : )

You're doing great Dan–I'm so proud of you! Glad you and Brian decided to follow in Trey's and my footsteps ;^)

Can't wait for this year's annual float trip pictures – we will have to do side-by-side comparisons to last year. You haven't seen last year's pics because I was a disgusting fatty in all of them! They are in a safe place–don't worry.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I sincerely appreciate it!!! Looking forward to getting back to crossfit tonight after 1 week away. I did put some of my fellow workers through a crossfit workout when I was in Arizona last week (100 squats, situps, and pushups). It was fun to listen to them complain about being sore for the rest of the week. I felt good. No problems.
